The Type-C Breakout
Unit is intended for use by developers of PD and Type-C
Functionality devices as it provides the ability to
access the appropriate signal in a Type-C cable without
affecting the operation..
The VBUS connection
is provided with a current measuring loop to allow
VBUS current measurements using an appropriate scope.

Note 1: For convenience
the signal names assume that the connector is the
normal way up. If the conector is flipped then CC
and VCONN swap places with SBU1 and SBU2 respectively.
Note 2: Bridges should normally be made unless required
to be broken for engineering development purposes.
The Type-C Breakout
Unit is supplied in a protective carrying case which
also includes a VBUS current measuring loop, for use
with an oscilloscope current probe.
